Did you know there are ways to give that also provide a tax benefit to you?
Your commitment to supporting survivors of domestic violence can extend beyond your lifetime through a planned gift to My Sister’s Place. Together, we can provide survivors with immediate access to housing and long-term support for financial independence and stability.
See below for tax-smart giving options available to you.

Bequests (Will or Trust):
Add MSP as a beneficiary of your will or living trust—either a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other gifts.
Simple sample language: “I give [__% of my estate / $____ / the residue of my estate] to My Sister’s Place, Inc. 52-1263256, a nonprofit organization located in Washington, DC, to be used for its general charitable purposes.”
IRA Gifts / Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs):
If you’re 70½ or older, you can direct up to the annual IRS limit from a traditional IRA tax-free to MSP. If you’re 73+ and subject to required minimum distributions (RMDs), a QCD can count toward your RMD while potentially reducing taxable income. Ask your IRA custodian to send the gift directly to MSP.
Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) Grants:
Recommend a grant to “My Sister’s Place, Inc. (EIN – 52-1263256)” from your DAF. You can also name MSP as a DAF successor beneficiary to continue your legacy.
