Meet Kyah & Kaleesha
My Sister’s Place is excited to welcome two new members to our team, Kyah and Kaleesha. Both bring unique experiences, a passion for service, and a commitment to supporting survivors and strengthening our community. Read on to meet them in their own words.

Kyah Campbell
“Hi everyone! I’m Kyah Campbell, the Community Outreach & Engagement Manager at My Sister’s Place, and I’m so excited to be part of the team!
As a proud Washington, DC native, I’ve spent the last seven years working in nonprofit community engagement, volunteer management, and partnership development. My passion is bringing people together to make a difference—whether that’s connecting volunteers to meaningful opportunities, building relationships with community partners, coordinating in-kind donations, or creating engaging events that leave a lasting impact.
What I love most about this work is meeting new people and helping others discover ways they can support their community. I truly believe that every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, has the power to change someone’s life.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my amazing daughter, Bella, getting lost in a good book, trying a new restaurant, planning my next trip, or finding an excuse to celebrate with family and friends. I’m always up for a good laugh, love bringing positive energy wherever I go, and never say no to a good playlist while I’m working!
I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone, learning from this incredible team, and working together to continue making a difference for the survivors and families we serve.”

Kaleesha Raymond
“Hi everyone! My name is Kaleesha Raymond, and I am originally from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. I am excited to spend my summer in Washington, D.C., and join the team at My Sister’s Place as the Communications Intern.
I would describe myself as creative, ambitious, and always eager to learn something new. I love finding ways to express my creativity, whether that’s through photography, graphic design, social media content creation, or presentation design. Outside of work, I enjoy listening to music, singing, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends. Music has always been a big part of my life, and I played the steel pan for several years growing up.
One thing people quickly learn about me is that I am very driven. When I set a goal for myself, I work hard to achieve it. At the same time, I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and building meaningful connections. Moving from a small island to a busy city like Washington, D.C. has been an exciting adventure, and I am looking forward to making the most of this experience.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of My Sister’s Place and excited to learn from such an incredible team while contributing to an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the community.”
Please join us in welcoming Kyah and Kaleesha to the My Sister’s Place community!
