Volunteer
At My Sister’s Place, our mission to empower survivors has always been driven and supported by the compassion of our local community. After a brief pause in 2024, our Volunteer Program has officially relaunched in 2025!
This revitalized program is designed to more effectively channel the incredible generosity of Washington, DC, and surrounding DMV residents into direct and meaningful actions. With new training protocols, flexible opportunities, and a renewed sense of purpose, we are ready to kickstart this program and welcome volunteers back!
Join the Corporate Giving Program
Join MSP’s Corporate Giving Program to sustain our core programming and expand our services. Your partnership will help MSP provide life-saving housing and comprehensive supports to survivors of domestic violence in DC. Corporate partners enjoy a range of benefits including personalized volunteer opportunities, customized presentations, and brand recognition.
Host an Event
Host an event for MSP! Please review our Policies and Procedures for Fundraising Events to ensure your event is a good fit for MSP. Then, complete our online Event Application Form so we can approve your event and assist with your efforts. Please submit event requests at least four weeks in advance to allow sufficient time for our review.
You can also create a Facebook fundraising page in honor of your birthday, or a GoFundMe for MSP for your network. For questions or to notify us about your fundraiser, please contact development@mysistersplacedc.org.
Please note: All fundraisers MUST be reviewed by My Sister’s Place before going live. Use of the My Sister’s Place name and logo/branding for fundraising may only be done with written permission from My Sister’s Place.
