My Sister’s Place is a nonprofit organization in Washington, DC, that provides shelter, support, and services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. We also offer education and advocacy to prevent abuse and promote healthy relationships.

Our services are available to anyone experiencing domestic violence, regardless of gender, age, race, immigration status, or sexual orientation. We serve individuals and families in the DC area.

We offer a full continuum of care, including: 

  • Emergency shelter 
  • Transitional and permanent housing support 
  • Trauma-informed counseling 
  • Case management 
  • Legal and safety planning 
  • Children’s services 
  • Community education and training 

Seeking Assistance/Help? Call us at (202) 540-1064 for information on MSP’s programs and availability. Staff will respond to calls regarding domestic violence housing and services within 2 business days.

Yes. Our shelter locations are confidential and secure, with trained staff available 24/7 to support survivors and their children in a safe, healing environment.

Yes. MSP is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
