My Sister’s Place Announces Krista McDaniel as Deputy Director

My Sister’s Place is proud to welcome Krista McDaniel into the role of Deputy Director, effective March 26, 2026.

Krista joined MSP in August 2023 as Senior Director of Programs, bringing with her a strong background in nonprofit leadership and a deep commitment to survivor-centered services. Since then, she has played an important role in strengthening MSP’s programs, shaping organizational strategy, and expanding access to housing, financial resources, and other critical support for survivors and their families.

During MSP’s recent executive leadership transition, Krista stepped up as Interim Executive Director, guiding the organization with steadiness, clarity, and care until Executive Director Lisa Winjum was appointed. Her leadership during that period reflected the trust she had already built across the organization and broader community.

Prior to joining My Sister’s Place, Krista served for ten years as Executive Director of The University Club of Washington, DC’s 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, where she led charitable outreach initiatives and built partnerships with local nonprofit organizations, including MSP. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University and is an active member of the John Carroll Society.

As Deputy Director, Krista will continue to help guide MSP’s strategic direction and strengthen our work to shelter, support, and empower survivors.

Please join us in congratulating Krista on this well-deserved appointment.
