In collaboration with the District of Columbia's Crime Victims Compensation Program, MSP provides intensive, clinical case management and supportive services to 1,115 families experiencing homelessness as a direct result of family violence each year. Staffs assist families in crisis in moving from homelessness to transitional or permanent housing while addressing concurrent barriers such as poverty, unemployment, underemployment, lack of education, mental illness, substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder.
